Sugar tastes great!  I just wish it didn’t kill us.  Here’s a cool New Yorker article about the race for sugar alternatives.  Most of them taste metallic or just “fake”…but after some testing I’m going with allulose.  It’s rare, yet naturally occurring, and somehow has 90% fewer calories than regular sugar.  My kids like eating it with fresh strawberries…

Last week I briefly mentioned automated tax loss harvesting.  Made popular by roboadvisors, it harvests tax losses without impacting your total return.  I always expected it to juice my returns by 1%-2%, but this year it delivered returns of over 12.4% for Wealthfront clients, or an after tax benefit of between 3.1% and 6.2%.  I think there’s a good chance this gets regulated away, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Swearing actually makes you seem more intelligent, not less.  No &*(%# way!
